Nine protesters were arrested in Calcutta on Saturday (January 12) for holding a demonstration against the screening of The Accidental Prime Minister inside the Quest INOX Cineplex on Thursday, reports DNA.
The screening of the film was cancelled at a theatre in Calcutta on Friday for security reasons following demonstrations by Youth Congress activists, police said, reports the New Indian Express.
The protesters said the film was an insult to Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and the former prime minister Manmohan Singh.
