India has successfully tested a new indigenous air-launched missile designed to destroy enemy radars on the ground. Test-fired from a Sukhoi-30MKI fighter on Janaury 18 at the integrated test range at Balasore, the new anti-radiation missile called NGARM has a strike range of about 100 km.
It is the first air-to-ground missile developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation after the BrahMos cruise missile developed jointly with Russia.
